A Little About Kelsey:
I was diagnosed with Melanoma on my abdomen in June of 2015. I was only 19 years old and was a dedicated beach goer. Since then, I have turned to running as a way of keeping the rest of my body healthy. Initially, I could barely run a mile but almost a year later I think a 5k will be the perfect distance for me. Now, I am cancer free thanks to Dr. Feiner and Dr. Ricci as well as the amazing doctors of NS-LIJ (now Northwell Health). I think this will be an amazing opportunity to tell my story, and raise awareness for my friends and family as well as the girls in my sorority, Alpha Phi, at the University of Maryland.
