Joey Becker
A Little About Joey:
Joey Becker was a wonderful husband, and father of our two children. He worked in residential construction for most of his adult life and played beach volleyball since he was a teen. He almost never wore sunblock. Joey was diagnosed with Melanoma in Dec. 2011. He underwent surgeries, treatments and was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma Metastatic to the brain. Joey lost his battle with Melanoma on July 4th 2014.
TEAM “Joey’s All-Stars”
My kids and I wanted to start a team in memory of Joey. He taught us strength and courage during his fight against this horrible cancer. Joey was one of those people in this world that had the unique courage to be himself – no matter what. We will carry him with us always-we still feel fully alive because of him and who he was.
Join Team “Joey’s All Stars” and help us honor his memory, and celebrate his life. Run or Walk with us on June 4th 2017. If you can’t make it consider making a donation. Together we can help prevent other families from losing a loved one to this terrible cancer Melanoma.
Target Goal: We hope to raise as much money and awareness as we can to support Melanoma Prevention, Education and Research.
Purpose: Our purpose for forming this team is to help raise awareness regarding the dangers of unprotected sun exposure, how people can and should protect themselves, and reduce their chances of getting Skin Cancer / Melanoma.
